DD vs KXIP Result - Irfan helps Punjab won by 6 wickets to stay in the IPL2

In an another thrilling match of 2009 IPL, Kings XI Punjab beat points leader Delhi Daredevils by 6 wickets with 5 balls remaining in a do die match on Friday, 15th May, 2009 at Bloemfontein. DD made 120/9 in 20 overs and KXIP scored 123/4 in 19.1 overs.



In a low scoring match, Delhi Daredevils manged only 120 runs for 9 wickets due to some fine bowling by Brett Lee and Irfan Pathan took 3 wickets and 2 wickets respectively as Karhik was the highest scorer with 32 runs.

Kings XI Punjab got a poor start as they reduced to 35/3 but 53 runs partnership between Sangakkara scored unbeaten 43 runs and Yuraj Singh put them back on track and then Irfan Pathan played a special inning of 11 balls 21 runs with 3 sixes to seal an important win for them.
