Rajasthan Royals in IPL Final, beat Delhi by 105 runs in 1st Semi
IPL's 1st Semi-Final was the one sided affair as Rajasthan Royals beat Delhi Daredevils by 105 runs at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai, on Friday, 30th May, 2008. Rajasthan Royals scored 192 and reduced Delhi Daredevils to 87 runs in 17th over.
Delhi Daredevils won the toss and invited Rajasthan to bat first, Rajasthan Royals took the full advantage and scored 192 runs in 20 overs, due to fine batting by Watson, Smith and Asnodkar, contributed 52, 25 and 39 runs respectively. Yusuf Pathan played a brilliant inning in the middle and in the end with 45 runs in 21 balls with 3 fours and 4 sixes.
In reply Delhi Daredevils crumbled to 28/4 in 6 overs with Sehwag and Gambhir, 2nd highest run scorer in the tournament back in the pavilion, Watson took 3 wickets out of four. They never recovered from there and all out on 87 runs in 17 overs.
