2009 IPL Auction - Pietersen and Flintoff sell Most Expensive for $1.55 M
As expected England players leads the 2009 Indian Premier League - IPL auction specially Kevin Pietersen and allrounder Andrew Flintoff are the highest paid players at a price of US$ 1.55 million by Bangalore Royal Challengers and Chennai Super Kings respectively on Friday, 6th February, 2009 in Goa.But Auction highlight was Bangladesh's fast bowler Mashrafe Mortaza, who sold at 12 times of his base price at US$ 600,000 by Kolkata Knight Riders. Rajasthan Royals got Australian fast bowler Shaun Tait for US$ 375,000 and unknown but highest wicket taker in T20 format for US$ 650,000.
