CSK vs DD Result - Chennai beat Delhi by 18 runs

In the 26th match of second Indian Premier League, last year runner-up Chennai Super kings registered their second win in a row as they beat title favorite Delhi Daredevils by 18 runs on Saturday, 2nd May, 2009 at Johannesburg. CSK made 163 all out in 20 overs and DD made 145/8 in 20 overs.

Chennai Super kings started well with Hayden made 30 off 19 balls also contributed by Raina 32 and and 45 runs by Badrinath and they were 112/2 in 12 overs but late collapse restricted them to 163 all out in 20 overs due to fine bowling by Nannes and Nehra took 3 wickets each for 27 runs in 4 overs.

In reply strong Delhi Daredevils without their captain Sehwag lost Gambhir and AB de Villiers on successive balls but a 75 runs partneship in 60 balls between Warner and Karthik scored 51 runs and 52 runs stayed then in the march but quick departure of both players cost them match.
