IPL 3 Auction - Bond and Pollard got highest bid - No Pakistan Players for 2010 IPL
New Zealand fast bowler Shane Bond and West Indies hard hitter Kieron Pollard were the highest priced players for the 2010 IPL3 auction at Trident hotel Mumbai on Tuesday, 19th January, 2010. Both the players were sold at after tie breaker at maximum bid of US$ 750,000.The most surprising part was that not a single players of T20 winner Pakistan was signed up by any team. Before the auction Shahid Afridi, Umar Akaml and Mohammed Aamir was favorite for highest bid.
Kieron Pollard was most favorite player for all the team and his bid was goes on increasing and reached to a maximum price before Mumbai Indians won in silent tie breaker and the same case was happned with bond which won by Kolkata Knight Riders.
West Indies fast bowler Kemer Roach was another big signing at US$ 720,000 by Deccan Chargers and South African Wayne Parnell was bought by Delhi Daredevils at US$ 610,000. Onlu Indian player Mohaamd Kaif was Bought by Punjab Kings XI at US$ 250,000.
3 under 19 players captain Ashok Menaria by Bangalore, Harmmet Singh by Deccan and Harshal Patel by Mumbai at a price of Rs. 8 Lakh each.
