In a high scoring thrilling 1st semi-final of 2010 IPLT20, Mumbai Indians reached the final by beating last year runner-up, Royal Challengers Bangalore by 35 runs on Wednesday, 21st April, 2010 at New Mumbai. MI made 184/5 in 20 overs and RCB made 149/9 in 20 overs.Mumbai Indians were struggling at 77/4 in 10th overs as Tendulkar out cheaply on 9 runs but then Rayudu 40 and Tiwary 52 not out off 31 balls hit 67 runs for the 5th wicket to back in course and in the end hard hitter Keiron Pollard hit unbeaten 33 off 13 balls with 1 four and 3 sixes to set a huge target as they hit 77 runs n the last 5 overs.
Royal Challengers Bangalore go a steady start as they were 81/2 in 10th over but hard hitter Uthappa out on 26 runs followed by run out of Dravis on the next ball put them on back foot. Mumbai bowlers then kept tight line as Pollard took 2 wickets and Harbhjan and Malinga took 2 wickets each.
