Lara, Yuvraj, Gilchrist, Dravid, Kumble in highest price band for IPL4 Auction

Brian Lara - former West Indian great is among the list of 21 players who got the highest reserve price of US$400,000 for the 4th edition of IPL Auction going to be held on 8th and 9th January, 2011. 21 players are put in top bracket including first timers Graem Swann, Stuart Broad, James Anderson, Michael Yardy and Luke Wright.

Total of 416 players have made it to the auction list but few big names who missed are Australian captain Ricky Ponting, Michael Clarke, Mitchell Johnson and former players McGrath and Mathew Hayden who was the part of IPL3 winner Chennai.

Zaheer Khan and Yusuf Pathan are in the bracket of US$ 3,00,000 along with Jacques Kallis, Muttiah Muralitharan, Andrew Symmonds and Kumara Sangakkara.

Kolkata's former icon player Sourav Ganguly has been relegated to the third band of players whose base price is US$ 200,000 with Gautam Gambhir, and the Australian pair of Michael Hussey and Doug Bollinger both were the part of Chennai's winning team.

87 players are listed in the US$ 1,00,000 bracket and the few big names are Tamim Iqbal, R Ashwin, Morne Morkel and Ben Hilfenhaus.

Kolkata, Punjab and Deccan released all their players so they have maximum of US$ 9 Millions in hand while Mumbai and chennai retained the maximum allowed 4 players so they left with only US$ 4.5 Million.

IPL4 season will have 10 teams as BCCI is not likely to move the supreme Court after lost in High court against Rajasthana and Punjab nad will have 74 matches as scheduled, will start just 5 days after the 2011 Cricket World Cup ends on April 2.
