In a low score last ball thriller between two neighbor cities, Mumbai Indians beat Pune Warriors by 7 wickets on Wednesday, 20th April, 2011 at Wankhede, Mumbai. PWI all out on 118 in 17.2 overs and MI made 124/3 in 20 overs.

Pune Warriors lost early wickets by Ali & Munaf and never come back in the match despite Uthappa's 45 runs and bowled out on 118 runs in 17.2 overs as Munaf took 3 wickets for just 8 runs while Malinga, Abu Nechim and Ali took 2 wickets each.
