CSK vs RR Result - Chennai won by 7 wick to go top in IPL Standings
In a low scoring 37th match of 2009 IPL, Chennai Super kings beat defending champion Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets with 10 balls remaining on Saturday, 9th May, 2009 at Kimberley. RR made 140/7 in 2o overs and CSK made 141/3 in 18.2 overs.
Rajasthan Royals lost wicket in 1st over but Smith and Asnodkar put 53 runs partnership but rregular wickets restricted them to score big and managed only 140 runs in 20 overs. Muralitharan and Shadab Jakati took 2 wickets each.
In reply, Chennai Super kings were 37/2 after 6 overs but Hayden and Badrinath 89 runs scored 48 runs and 59 not out runs respectively to pass the target and grab the no.1 spot in IPL2 points table.
