MI vs RCB Result - Mumbai won by 16 runs Thanks to Duminy and Rhane
In the 38th match of 2009 Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by 16 runs to go to 6th place in IPL2 points table in the 1st game of Sunday, 10th May, 2009 at Port Elizabeth. MI scored 157/2 in 20 overs while RCB made 141/7 in 20 overs.
Mumbai Indians won the toss nad elected to bat 1st and lost Tendulkar on 5 runs and Jayasuriya on total of 52 runs. Then Duminy and Ajinkya Rahane put unbeaten 105 runs for 3rd wicket contributed 59 not out and 62 runs not out respectively.
In reply, Royal Challengers Bangalore started poorly and reduced to 58/4 in 10 overs and wickets at regular intervals and only Boucher made 48 runs. Harbhajan Singh back in form with 2 wickets for just 15 runs.
