In an one sided final of 2013 Indian Premier League - IPL6, Mumbai Indians lift their maiden title, beat 2 times champions Chennai Super Kings by 23 runs on Sunday, 26th April, 2013 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. MI made 148/9 in 20 overs and CSK made 125/9 in 20 overs.
Mumbai Indians won the toss and elected to bat first without Tendulkarand lost 2 wickets in 2 overs as both openers out cheaply and soon captain Rohit Sharma back in pavillion and struggling at 16/3 then Karthik and Rayudu put some fight and took the score to 52 when Karthik also out.
