In the high scoring 11th match of 2010 IPLT20 - IPL3, Chennai Super Kings beat Delhi Daredevils by 5 wickets with 5 balls remaining on Friday, 19th March, 2010 at Delhi. DD made 185/6 in 20 overs while CSK made 190/5 in 19.1 overs.

Delhi Daredevils with new captain Karthik without injured Gambhir made 185/6 thanks to hard hitting by Sehwag with 38 balls 74 runs with 10 fours and 3 sixes and Manhas with 32 runs. Mathew Hayden then played brilliant inning of 93 runs of 93 runs off 43 balls with 9 fours and 7 sixes, with his Mangoose bat and Raina played captains inning of unbeaten 49 runs off 34 balls and set a thrilling 5 wicket win for Chennai Super Kings.

Mumbai Indian's run in the IPL2 has almost over as they lost to 2nd placed Chennai Super Kings by 7 wickets with 5 balls remaining in the 47th match on Saturday, 16th May, 2009 at Port Elizabeth. MI made 147/5 in 20 overs and CSK scored 151/3 in 19.1 overs.

Mumbai Indians after winning the toss made 147 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs thanks to in-form JP Duminy made 62 runs off 54 balls and 33 unbeaten runs from Abhishek Nayar. Jayasuriya also contributed with 30 runs.

Mathew Hayden's dream run continues in IPL2 as he scored unbeaten 60 runs off 57 balls, even though he started slowly as he score his 1st boundary after 34 balls he faced but stayed till the end to secure a crucial inning for Chennai Super Kings.

In the 44th low scoring thrilling match of 2009 IPL, Royal Challengers Bangalore beat Chennai Super Kings by 2 wickets with 2 balls remaining in the 1st game of Thursday, 14th May, 2009 at Durban. CSK bowled out on 129 runs in 19.4 overs and RCB scored 132/8 in 19.4 overs.

Chennai Super Kings started well with the hard hitting of in-form Mathew Hayden who scored 38 balls 60 runs with 5 fours and 3 sixes but they lost 7 wickets for 37 runs to collapsed on 129 runs in 19.4 overs.

In a low scoring 37th match of 2009 IPL, Chennai Super kings beat defending champion Rajasthan Royals by 7 wickets with 10 balls remaining on Saturday, 9th May, 2009 at Kimberley. RR made 140/7 in 2o overs and CSK made 141/3 in 18.2 overs.

Rajasthan Royals lost wicket in 1st over but Smith and Asnodkar put 53 runs partnership but rregular wickets restricted them to score big and managed only 140 runs in 20 overs. Muralitharan and Shadab Jakati took 2 wickets each.
