KXIP vs DC Result - Yuraj's hat-trick set a thrilling win for Punjab, hope alive for semis

IPL2 is continuously producing series of thrilling finishes as in an another match Yuraj Singh took his 2nd hat-trick of the tournament to set a 1 run last ball victor for Kings XI Punjab over Deccan Chargers in the 49th match on Sunday, 17th May, 2009 at Johannesburg. KXIP made 134/7 in 20 overs and DC made 133/8 in 20 overs.

Kings XI Punjab managed only only 134 run for 7 wickets in 20 overs as only Sangakkara hit 56 runs off 43 balls due to fine bowling by RP Singh who took 3 wickets.

Gilcrist started well for Deccan Chargers but when spinner Romesh Pawar took 2 wickets in his 1st over and later Yuraj Singh who took his second hat-trick of the series with 3 wickets for 13 runs pushed them on back foot. Needed 43 off last 18 balls Rohit Sharma once again batted well under pressure to and almost clinched the match for them but Irfan Pathan kept his nerves taken 2 wickts in the alst over to st a thrilling win.
