In a low scoring one sided 48th match of 2010 IPLT20, Chennai Super Kings registered a much needed big win of 9 wickets with 39 balls remaining against Kolkata Knight Riders in the 2nd game of Tuesday, 13th April, 2010 at Chennai. KKR made 139/8 in 20 overs and CSK made 143/1 in 13.3 overs.
Kolkata Knight Riders got a poor start as they reduced to 19/4 in four overs due to brilliant bowling by Ashwin but managed 139 runs thanks to Angelo Mathews 48 runs. Chennai Super Kings then lost Hayden early but then Raina and Vijay put unbeaten 137 runs partnership in 13 overs scored 50 not out and 78 not out off 39 balls with 11 fours and 3 sixes and reached the target with 39 balls remaining and moved directly on 2nd spot from 6th place.
