In the eliminator match of 2011 IPL4, Mumbai Indians beat again Kolkata Knight Riders by 4 wickets with 4 balls remaining and qualify for the play-offs on Wednesday, 25th May, 2011 at Wankhede, Mumbai. KKR made 147/7 in 20 overs and and MI 148/6 made in 19.2 overs.
Kolkata Knight Riders playing in the shadow of last match which they lost on the last ball, collapsed to 20/4 in 5.3 overs and then Pathan 26 runs and Ryan ten took the score to 80 runs in 13 overs. Mumbai Indians then got a blazing start by Blizzard who hit 30 balls 51 runs and Tendulkar 36 runs put 81 runs in 8 overs but then lost few quick wickets and reduced to 103/4 in 13 overs. Match was closed when they needed 15 runs in last 12 balls with Harbhajan and Franklin on the crease with Lee bowling and Bhajji hit four on the 1st balls but Lee managed to give 4 runs in next 5 balls. 7 needed on the last over and Bhajji hit a six on the 2nd ball bowled by Shakib and seal a victory.
